Can someone tell me if the mk1 capri is supposed to have a boot release mechanism inside the car? Mine is a rebuild so I don't know.

Pretty sure they dont, mine is all original and hasn't got it and its not in the workshop manual

If they did, it was most likely the cable pull type that Ford fitted as an option through the 70's and early 80's.
