Default Mk2 1970 GT side mirror placement question

Anyone out there have an original Mk2 GT with factory fitted Bullet Mirrors (shown as "Mirror Assy - exterior - racing" in the parts catalogue).
Some of the Ford promotional pics, at the time, I have seen have what appear to be colour co-ordinated bullet mirrors.
Need confirmation that they were a factory option, that they were painted same colour as the car.
If so, and most importantly, need info on the location on the door.

Am restoring a '70 GT and there are no side mirrors at the moment.

Any assistance apprecited.
