yeah the tires in the first pic might be skinny things but thats what you need for anow driving and they are probably studded aswell making them grip into the snow with ease,

It's just amazing what some drivers are willing to do! And respect for the co-drivers, in the second photo, look how low the co-driver sits, he can't see anywhere near as much, just trusts the driver completely.
