Hi chris hows it going?
I was reading through one of my street fords magazines and in the new products section they were advertising a bottle of octane booster which they claim will increase the oct rating by 10 points. Is it possible to tune the edit to suit this type of combo (i.e 98oct + octane booster) and if so what sort of gains would you expect? I know the gains wont be huge becasue the 6 isn't really a high compression motor to begin with but is there a gain to be had? I don't plan to run a tune like this on the car everyday, just a sort of race tune to use at Calder when the time comes. Cheers |

Hey dude - some times octane booster can do more harm than good, used with too much booster or not enough will show very little, if any result.
Octane booster also oxygenates the charge, so generally some tuning is required. Once you have a healthy bank of mods, eg exhaust and CAI we can put a more aggressive tune in the car. Chris |
