If Mustang only sold 260 in May, which was attributed to the transition to 2018 models, why would it bounce back to 635 in June before the 2018 release?

Someone remind me please, do VFACTS include only private sales or across the board fleet/government/business?

Fair enough, hardly anyone wanted a soon to be superceeded Mustang in May because they were still at retail price but they did in June when they were heavily discounted.

Cars like the ZB, while they've quoted 250 locally built included by memory, be interesting to see the private sale split. I know i've read locally here in SA they're talking buying some as patrol cars, kinda inflates reality when you're trying to get a view of the publics actual reaction to these things.

That also meant that the GT Mustangs would now cross the "Luxury car tax" threshold, again adding to the "on-road costs". Not only were the dealers offering huge discounts, but for example, which I also got; - Free scheduled servicing for 3 years or 45,000 kms. So basically the 15, 30 and 45 were free... A saving of at least another $1,000 or so. - $2,000 worth of genuine Ford extras free. Then there was the announcement of Ford in May of the new 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty. All of the above made it a "no-brainer deal" for many people from a financial perspective. $56K for a MY17 GT versus $73K for an MY18 GT + $1,000 servicing + $2,000 extras = $20K savings! |

I think the modern Aussie Mustangs will be somewhat like the WRX's and not depreciate as much as many other cars. |

Haha i’ll repeat it again with no apologies. Thai build junk built by sweatshop workers for $2USD an hour doesn’t belong on our roads at the price the manufacturers are charging. Full stop. If the price tag matched Great Wall and Mahondra, then we’ll talk .

Some people have no sunshine in their day, or don’t own a Mustang.

Its Latin. It means in honour of the dead. Which is what the 17 model is compared to the 18.
