Default Fg Gt 12.90 Et

Impressive time last night set at WSID. FG GT just with regular entry mods e.g. CAI, exhaust and tune ran a 12.9 pass! Car was an auto and sorry didn't get a chance to note the 60" and MPH.

This car was modified by Autotech Engineering.

Well done to all involved...done us BOSS supporters proud.

Diff gears on that entry level list of mods? I would think yes.

Were on our way to the pension but the Boss can still haul A@@ when done right.
Well done to all involved....I got a mate that had his GT delivered just before our season finished (Motorplex) and was running 13.3 all night stock as rock.

Super time !!

Does the car have aftermarket headers / Hi Flo cats as well ??

Considering stock factory diff gears - that's a sensational time.

Hard to tell specifically when I put the SS CAI and under drive pully on at the same time. Overall picked up power and torque in the mid range and feels great on the road with more power coming on earlier in the rev range.

My Brother picked up the old one for his BA XR 8 Ute

Yes - Pacemaker headers and hi flo cats.

I would also like to think the driver gets some cred...

Ok can't help myself here but.... No offense to the owner as it's a fine car, but

Yella Terra plenum
SS inductions CAI
High flow cats
Quad exhaust
Under drives
Custom tune

And anything else?

I just don't see the need for high fiving here, fords hero car with a bucket load of stuff on it is no quicker than it's cheapest performance models, even my G6E with no mods and 2 psi increase runs 113.35mph in full fat mode.

And the other dude to post in this thread ran a 12.82 stock...

I'm not starting an argument here about what is better, but the only people who will see these mods as basic entry mods are car enthusiasts, what's the total cost for this all up $6k?

No offense mate - but no one really gives a toss about the times the G6ET can get on this thread at the moment. The whole point here is that this bloke has got the best out of his car....which also happens to be one of the quickest times a FG GT has recorded with those mods thus far.

Kudos to where it is deserved. It doesn't always have to be about Boss v 6T......

Has nothing to do with me I used mine a an example and I said I'm not trying to turn this into a turbo vs v8 debate. I also used the example of the other poster in this thread whose sig reads 12.82 stock

my point is there is some unjustified high fiving going on here 12.9 isn't that great considering it's the hero car of the FPV range and has about 5k of bolt ons thrown at it. The dude from wa with the stock FG xr8 is far more impressive with a 13.1 and more so that his car is manual and skill is involved in his great time.

Sorry I gave my opinion. You can all go back to giving easy other high fives LOL

Only 113 mph with extra boost??? man thats slowfor a G6ET WITH a mod!!! No wonder you need to come in here and diss a nice car and a good drive.

Im giving a high 5

Spoken very ignorantly. It may surprise you to learn that it is not all about which car is fastest, it's making what you chose to buy as impressive as it can be. No one really cares how fast your G6eT is in this thread, we all know they're quick, and it's completely irrelevant. We're talking about a GT running an impressive time, so why even bother spouting about your turbo? Chalk and cheese.

But at the end of the day, why buy a G6eT when a 911 turbo does 0-100 in 3.7? Irrelevant!

Elitism is not welcome here and honestly just makes those portraying it look foolish.

So please let it go.

Well, I guess I'm learning fast how the forum works, and so firstly the comment about the driver was just in good humour (I just forgot to add the smiley face) so wasn't looking for any high fives in that regard.

As for mods Vs the preformance I recon it's pretty good bang for your buck, given the improvement over standard and given the Boss's record to date very happy with my PB given I could only get a 13.8 out of my previous BA.

And as for the turbo v V8 debate, you can't beat the sound of finely tuned V8.....this one not about the numbers.
