Dudes just a shout out about how good the little XR5 Turbo's are .
I killed my Supercharged BA Ute , well not killed but as close to death as humanly possible . A burn out guy bought it and took it away for $1450 , bonus !lol
I managed to buy a dead stock , 2010 XR5 Turbo for 7.5K . I threw a new clutch in it just to be sure to be sure . It needs a couple of small things and yea I'm doing those but that's the fun isn't it .
I am actually going to repaint it the stock Performance Blue and do something with the white GT stripes just to smarten her up and make her look nice. Looking for clean set of 18' Xr5 rims if anyone knows something let me know , maybe a set of 16's as well to play rally with lol.
I might do a stage 1 tune BUT I just wound the turbo pre-load in a few turns and yes after a few runs it feels like it might be a little stronger but it could be wishful thinking too. It goes great , the motor is so flexible it will pull from 1500 revs or less to the top end . I haven't done that from after the turbo setting as it might ping .Made in Germany too so it'll probably last a while .
Well worth the money if you can find a low K unmolested unit , I'm thinking of buying a few more just in case they become collectible .
