Never seen a diaper on a car before - though it suits it since it looks like %^#$!

Clearly I'm against the grain.

Aw don't spoil it for them, they probably thought it was a feature

Although if it has AMG on it it probably goes bloody quick in reverse as well, so it would need a car-bra on the back !

traditionally, a "Shooting Brake" isn't just a wagon, it's a...well...sports wagon...usually built on a sporting chassis or a prestige car chassis. It's an old English term.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_brake

They've always been very popular...and don't smack me, but the closest thing we have in Australia to one would be something like a Calais V or SS Commodore Sportswagon...

They're also supposed to be used by hunters and have room for their guns, dogs and game. Perhaps Germans go hunting nowadays with pistols, use dachshunds and catch rabbits?

Originally, yes, but it morphed into a "sports wagon". That Wiki article has pictures of cars I'm talking about and what is usually now known as a Shooting Brake...the Volvo P1800ES wagon, the Reliant Scimitar wagon, Ferrari, Audi, etc. It's one of those ideas that has adapted to newer types of cars.
They're now a car for people who want some extra carrying space (but don't need craploads of extra space, just "extra room") and at the same time don't want to give up a performance car...sort of having a foot in each camp.

True, although I always thought a shooting brake had two doors (three if you include the boot), otherwise to me its just a wagon. We went through this when the Ferrari FF was shown.

That is wrong on so many levels.

59 beers won't make this car look any better.

not really a fan of the look. The way the whole car kinda curves just makes it look awkward. The front quarter angle shot makes it look long and chunky...like a hearse as said before.

Sorry, the lines are all over the place. Not my taste and that's saying something from "many a wagon" owner.

Reminds me a bit of Federation Square in Melbourne (aka Jigsaw Puzzle).
