How about doing Putty road, get on windsor road and just keep driving.
It will take you up to singleton, and you can either have Breakfast in the hunter, or zigzag across to somewhere like Terrigal etc. Then just cruise back along the F3

Take a drive down to Robertson pie shop, Kangaroo Valley and Maquarie Pass - mmmm good roads! Ohh and a lolly shop at Berry
Or Up to Pie In The Sky on the old pacific highway. Awesome roads and awesome pies/coffee and snacks, and you get to watch all the bikers fly past Through Richmond, Up Bells Line of Rd to Bilpin and get some apple pie? Up to Avoca or Terrigal. Easy drive up the F3. Cruise out to West Head? Go to the beaches etc

I really have to say West Head again. I drove out there about 3 weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon for a cruise with a mate. Beautiful day and the road to get there from Akuna Bay (We drove down around Cottage Point, Akuna Bay etc, then around a bit more) is FANTASIC. At the intersection between the road through to Terrigal/Akuna Bay to West End is about 10km long and smooth as the bonnet of a Porsche. Not super twisty, just lots of nice super smooth flowing corners. There's hundreds of bush walking trails about and cyclists out but the road is wide enough not to worry (each side has a shoulder). I highly reccomend it, especially on a nice day when you get to the end and look out over the Pacific Ocean.

West Head, very scenic, adrenalin rush? No, test your cars handling & braking along the Putty Road . Or up Bell's Line of Road, across to Mt Victoria, lunch somewhere in the Blue Mountains, then down Great Western Highway to home. May be a stop off @ the Zig Zag Railway.
