Default MKi9200 - BF Ghia

I've asked about this before, but I'm now ready to buy one and need some help.

From what I understand, it doesn't need a separate wiring kit to fit into a BF (Fairmont Ghia with premo sound)? It connects to the wiring behind the fuse box? Now if this is done, it uses the MKi9200 inbuilt amplifier?

I also believe that ASL have a custom wiring loom to adapt it to the BF, is that right? Does this also used the MKi9200 inbuilt amp? I've read that the amp is rather feeble and doesn't sound too great.

Is there a way to use the ICC wiring/output? Or would I need to purchase a separate in-line amp for the MKi9200 kit?

Any help with the best setup would be appreciated

Hi. Using the Mki 9100/9200 makes use of its inbuilt amp to drive the phone input from one of the parrots front speaker outputs, for this there is plenty of output. To feed fords aux input the low level or line outputs are used and "mute when streaming" is turned off. This gives a reasonable sound level that should be enough for most people depending on the music they listen to and how loud they want it. If its not enough an amped acc input could always be added later. I believe aerpro have just released a wiring kit for the BA/BF that would only require a couple of RCA plugs to be soldered on to the ends of the parrots low level outputs. Cheers MD

hi

we do have the specific harness where no soldering required, all plug and play, if you too fussed about sound you can also add the ASL line conditioner where it will reduce engine noise and amplify the signal off your ipod or iphone
see link below

When using this setup, or the ASL wiring kit on premo sound, does it still use the factory amp/sub as well as the speakers?

I guess the additional line conditioner from ASL would help amplify/clean the signal and avoid any engine whine or interference?
