Default terratree insurance

a mates parents just bought an 04 TX awd terratree with about $5000 worth of options and less than 5000km. its cost them $38,000

they traded in a 98 honda oddytee and got $15,000 (might have been a bit less)

the honda which was originally cost $50k was insured for $24k. the insurance cost was $1800. the terra is insured for $40k (through the same company) and it cost them $800.

so i guess spare parts for a honda cost a fortune???
