Why bother putting it back up by only 10km/h? RTA makes some rwally stupid decisions sometimes.....

If 10 k's isnt much they should have just dropped it to 90k's and everyone would have been happy! Damn amazes me how there is the the slightest hint of good news and people still find something to b**** and moan about.

That 10kph could equate to nearly 1 hour less driving time along the length of the highway. Quote:

If you don't care how long driving takes, drive at half the speed limit everywhere for a week and see how much of a difference it makes. I mean it won't matter too much since you are not in a hurry. If it takes you 15 minutes normally to drive to work, simply leave 15 minutes earlier. Not a big deal right? |

Should be as in Montana..unlimited, as long as safe to do so..at the Highway Patrol's discretion as safe...

So just to show us how unimportant it is why don't you donate 10% of your wages to my charity, Variety and pay an extra 10% (15c/l) for your fuel....... Or is that different? But on the big picture I suspect there are some rather bitter and twisted little road nazis in RTA having had their adenda thawted. I sure hope that the new government up here in March assassinate the 90k fairies that live at the botom of the DMR garden..... |

Well .... whatever it is ... it's a start I guess.
will see if it filters through elsewhere ... Keepleft did mention that there have been a push for some of the limits that had been lowered ... to be brought back in-line with what it used to be. This maybe a new pattern we see for the near future. But ... I won't hold my breath.

Be even better if they made the road capable of maintaining the speed limit instead of dodging pot holes for 500 + Ks

where's sudszy? apparently a few years back it was perfectly safe to do 110. then up until recently, if you did 110 (100 zone) then you were on a road to certain death, but now, its perfectly safe to do 110 again. |

And do not forget that of course it was NSW taxpayers money that has been wasted on this RTA debacle to firstly reduce and now rightfully increase this speed limit back to where it should be. One can only guess what this has cost. |

110kmh/r,perfect speed for getting somewhere quickly.Apparently you can travel 110kms in 1 hour, allows one to organise their time correctly and be on time.
Well done Government. |

I honestly Believe 110 is fine even up to 120 providing and only providing the roads are up to scratch (say free way etc). I normaly sit on on 105 - 110 when I can, and it is surprising the difference you can make in time doesn't seem like a lot but is is.
And I will agree with you aussie muscle most roads in NSW especially country road are not up to scratch.

correct me if im wrong but it goes through parkes from cowra for a small part? If so that road is horrible. Went through that way on Wednesday an it shouldn't even be 80 till they fix that road its left me with a nice bill of 3 new rim's. However for a truck i could see this 10kmph very welcome cutting an hour of an already to long trip
