As the title says. Yesterday I got some suede material from spotlight and a can of spray adhesive and pulled out the roof lining in the ute. The factory one was coming away because of the foam stuff so I scrubbed all that off and stuck the new stuff on. Now im undecided if I should get some plastic paint and paint the A-pillar, the seatbelt surround, the suround of the side window behind the seat and all the bits on the roof ie. sun visors, clips... What do you guys think?

Looks great. You should do the door trim in the same material, to blend it all in. The vinyl spray will work well on the sunvisors etc, but you should use normal paint for the plastic bits - just use plastic primer on them and then add your colour of choice.

Good job! Didn't know you could get a suede that wide and big, to do it all. So you put that material on top of the foam, and re-used the headlining foam?

Not sure if I want to paint the light bits on the sides black or a dark grey though, but probably black for the stuff on the roof

Why not continue with the suede on the other bits, apart from the visors of course, paint their.

I'm very interested to see this actually, I've been considering relining my roof with black / dark grey suede or velvet and painting all the bit and pieces black too. I reckon it'll look great, nice and dark inside. Just do the plastics with plastic primer and regular paint, then some clear, and vinyl paint on the visors. Let us know how you go!

I couldnt get the paint today so I'll be getting some during the week and painting it up next weekend.
Sorry Orbit didnt get any other pics as my sister had MY camera, not sure how that works but anyways its a really easy job took me about 2 hours start to finish. Not sure how you guys would go getting the liner out for a sedan?

Nice work ... refreshes the interior though ... looks like you did a good job as well.
I actually don't mind the contrasting colours inside though ... but a fairly dark grey might be better than painting black though.

I'd paint the pillars the same colour as the dash and door trims or else it'll look funny having them darker, then do the visors, hooks and grab handles the same colour as the roof lining. It might just be the photo, but the roof lining looks a tad darker than the dash/doors, and I reckon it'd look better to have the lighter to darker colour transition at the roof line rather than at the door height. I know the Satin Black VHT vinyl dye almost perfectly matches the AU Warm Charcoal if that helps.
