Great read, Dan told us this stuff and more at the Pacific Ford GT day the other week.
The Phase 3 fired up is just, well priceless. It was special with an 1150 Dominator sucking in the big ones. Took me back to me youth, it did. :1syellow1 But it's OK now, I'm having my 2nd Childhood. :

Reading about the Phase IV...if only...
Goes to show that the people that make the decisions are probably those that shouldn't be...

But I would actually argue that it probably is more of a GT-HO than the road going Calypso Green HO. Ford Special Vehicles workshop prepared!!!!! Seriously - the Bowden garage is a thing of beauty. Full credit to David Bowden on tracking down these pieces of racing history and restoring. What a legend! |

Nothing against the Bowdens (full credit to them), but the 3 cars prepared by Ford Racing at Mahoneys Rd were only plated XA GT.
That makes them XA GT racing prototypes, not XA GTHO's. There is only 1 vehicle plated XA GTHO. All GT's are valued and identified by what is on their ID plate. Browser351 |

However, if you think that the remaining 2 FSV built cars are valued as merely XA GTs you are well and truly mistaken!!!!!!!! : |

The value and historical importance of those vehicles is not in question. Most unique GT's (no matter what model) are valued quite signifently more than their 'common' counterparts. The only point I was making is that those 3 XA's were plated as XA GT (only 2 remaining) not XA GTHO.
There is only 1 XA GTHO and that vehicle is also valued in accordance. Browser351 |

You're preaching to the converted here. This has been discussed 4397 times already on this forum. How many times do we have to go over and over this?????? We all know what it is and what it represents. Give it up, please.
