Default What spring for WP Zetec

Hi,

Looks like we are going to hold of on the XR4 for a bit so we are just doing a few odd to the Zetec for now. Lowering, rear wing, exhaust, induction and maybey some rims.

What springs are recommended from people's experience. It has approx. 50-60mm between the guards at the moment and about 120mm from the sill. She doesn't want it to low in regards to speed humps etc, it also still needs to carry four people at times. My concern is also regarding the firmness of the bump in the ride as it allready crashes quite hard as is.

The other thing is rims, I like the MP3 as fitted to the Older Focus, are they a possible fit and where could we get some for a reasonale amount.

Thanks

Baz

Eibach make some 30mm lowering springs which would be very nice but are $$$. A nice simple upgrade would be to get the springs from a WQ Zetec which are XR4 items anyway.

For sell the 17inch MP3 rims pretty cheap and are VERY common on these forums.

I've used King springs in mine, lowered it about 35mm, still carries 4 large ppl with no problems, ride is a fair bit firmer though, handles great but watch out for big potholes if you want to keep your fillings in.

I have Eibach fitted with the 17's you speak of.

This is how it currently sits.

On bumpy roads it can be a harsh ride. There is a section of road to work that I hate cos its so bumpy other then that its a nice ride. With the car loaded with people the rear guard sits about level with the rim and I dont notice anything wrong with the ride then either.

That's so pretty. I'd swear it was tango in that light.

Thanks for the replies, I have found a supplier for the MP3's $1500 with Silverstones. How much for the Eibach's? Your car looks mint.

Anyone else got pics, because the black rims make it a bit harder the judge the stance.

This help.

The Eibach I got a long time ago as part of a UK groupbuy. But EuropeanParts sells them for a cheap price. http://www.european-parts.net/catalo...roducts_id=472

Yep, those pics are clearer, nice ride. We wanted to get that colour as first choice but settled with aqua.

for the rear spoiler you shuold really go OEM. the springs as OXYGEN stated the cheapest place to get them would be from European parts. make sure you post up pics when your done. shuld be a nice ride mate. cant wait.

im thinking of getting the eibach springs as well but will see.
