Default 120000km service (type B)

I've just got my hands on a April 2011 LX TDCI that's done 129000kms, but the service book doesn't have an entry for the 120000km service, and although it has definitely just had a normal oil and filter change I don't know if the extras for a B type service have been done e.g. the transmission fluid and filter change. Is there a reliable way to check if the transmission fluid needs to be changed or should I just assume that it needs it and get it done?

I would just assume that it hasn't been done and get it done. It's probably why the previous owner sold it knowing that it was coming up. last thing you want is one of those powershift transmissions letting go.

Is there a stable pattern of stamps prior? Perhaps it was done and not stamped? I had a service done on a car and left the book at home so they just gave me the receipt and told me they would stamp it next time I was in.

May be worth a phone call??

Tranny service alone on the powershift is around the $450-$500 mark.

Oh... hot tip. If you are getting it done as a stand alone service, make sure you KNOW exactly what qty of oil it needs, with and without a filter change.

From memory, it needs something like 5.5L and a little more with the filter.

Ford couldn't explain to me why I was charged 7.5ish litres at high $30's per litre..... Problem was, it was done all together at 60k km so my cost was what the 'capped' price was to the dollar...

I felt like they just bumped up a $ figure here are there to bridge the gap to the max charge...

Anyway, they refunded the whole service after they were proven shonks!... but I digress...
