Default pedal box for V6 GT Capri

Just checking, is the clutch pedal part of the pedal box or is it seperate for the V6 Gt Capri's.

I am hopeing it sits further to the left by itself because otherwise i just cut up a Auto v6 GT capri.

It attaches to the pedal box, but it's the same for 1600 Capris also. If untampered with / modified, a genuine auto capri has a rectangular cutout on the trans tunnel for the shifter, where a V6 manual has an odd 5 sided shape that suits the base of the V6 manual shifter. A 1600 manual will just have a round hole with a raised edge.

There are other ways to tell a V6, any photos of the remaining panels from the engine bay and inner guards will help to identify.

Cheers
Jamie

From the firewall foward is sitting 6 feet to the side of the rest of the car & the entire floor is at the dump.
The pedal box only has the acceleraor & brake pedals with no where for a clutch pedal to hang, the brake pedal is on teh extreme left of the pedal box.

If it was built in 1970, the number stamped on top of the drivers shock tower will start with a JF for an Auto GTV6.

Does it still have its compliance plate? If so, the trans code for a V6 auto is Y.
