Who can see themselves being like 65-70 maybe older even driving a hot 6 or a tough v8? That is unless fuel become waaay to expensive by then?
I plan to have tough cars for the rest of my life, even if it's inconvenient. IE: on my way to lawn bowls on a sunday arve and my mustang is overheating and carryin on etc.

You better make sure your superannuation will cover that and pay your bills.

I forsee and alternative fuel the will be in place in the next 20 years or so and an option provided to run the old petrol guzzlers on that fuel instead. (with a bit of head work or something)

Long live the internal combustion engine and fossil fuels! I'll have to be forced to drive an electric car, no matter how good.

I thought this a few nights ago, went out with a couple of friends to see one of their friends play in a band... a ol'time rock'n'roll band, to my suprise all of the oldies were up and boogie'in their asses off. Admittedly they'd sit down every few songs using anything they could find as a fan, they were having an absolute ball you could see it on their faces...
Now you think last few generations of teens will still be holding raves or moshin in the pit at 70-80years of age? |

I'am in my 50's now and still into cars, going to swap meets and car shows. But most of my mates gave the car scene away in their 30's & 40's. I'am looking at a restored 67 buick Riviera in S.A at the moment ( wife not happy could be the problem of not getting it) so as you get older your tasts change at bit plus pulling cars apart into a million peices and putting them back really does not appeal to me now days. My 1973 buick was the last job in 1998.I think as your get older you try to relive your youth of getting into cars that you owned or like as a young bloke.

I'm thinking of the XY 4WD ute I almost bought, because they wouldn't drop the price by 500 bucks...to 5300. It was schmick, too, with a matching fibreglass canopy on the back... I would have dumped a 351 into it eventually, but stoopid me didn't take up the offer!

aight, picture this:
2 x 75y/o geezers pull up at the lights next to each other in their hot 8's.... imagine how funny it'd be to see em light em up and drag off, a bit sideways, then chirp through the gears, stereo's blarring..... even funnier if they got busted on the side of the road like we see 'young hoons' occasionally..... Damn, would that be some funny news story.....

I see myself going (more) soft when I'm that age. Meh, I've got 50 years to go before I reach that stage!
