It's worth a shot, but don't be surprised if they knock you back if it hasn't previously been reported by someone else mate.

Bit of 2 x 4 and a mini sledge will knock that out (or in, as the case may be).

I'd still try the council - they are liable for damage caused by potholes and the like.

They are actually Aussie manfactured G2's, not "cheap Chinese mags" I mean I don't think any wheel running 40 profile tyres would have stood up any better.

Also Steve try Depulu wheels on the Goldie, I know it's a bit of a drive but they fixed my old 20's so the looked and felt like new.

If you're prepared to trek to the northen end of the GC, either Depulu (Ashmore) or Dr. Wheels (Molendinar) are very good wheel repair places.

Dr. Wheels repaired the XR18s on my old AU for around $80/rim when I found out that they were all egg-shaped along their inside edges.

As far as I'm aware they are still made in china, G2 and BSA are all Chinese cast wheels

I have new mags on my car (40th Ann wheels) and I did one a few weeks ago plus 2 tyres in a monster pot hole (12 inches deep) that appeared after the damn flooding. Council sent us to Vic Roads as they are in control despite it was in the middle of town so I dealt with it myself - all too hard.

Had mine rolled - VERY succesfully! Back on the car and new rubber and a repair on the rear.

Ask around and repair if you can.

Cheers

Please tell me you are joking? Why on Earth would you risk your life to a dodgy backyard repair job? Take it to a professional who can assess whether it would pose a risk in terms of structural integrity.

I hit a pothole of about the same size about a month ago and it actually bent the diff housing and axle on a live rear ute. You did well not to break anything

Not wrong fitzy, the car still drives as if the wheel has no dent, perfectly straight and wobble free.
