Well, Grunter just rang me to tell me he's just run 11.6@116mph. Track temp 28 degrees. More runs to come tonight, so hopefully he can better it again. Well done to Grunter and the boys at C&V Performance!!!!!

I'm sure Jeff will be along soon to give you guys more info on the setup.
The 60ft's were in the 1.7's He did do 1 or 2 more 11.5's aswell, so the car is showing consistency now. Last edited by saleen; 25-10-2006 at 11:39 PM. |

Great times, excelent results for the tuners
can someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the maths don't add up for me. A car that weighs 1910 kg, has a stock motor, stock fuel system, but has 100 shot of gas which makes 320 rwkw and it runs 124 mph. I would have thought it would need close to 380 rwkw or more to get the car this heavy to do 124 mph over the 1/4. The Boss must really come to life on the bottle, an average street car turns to 11 sec monster with just 100 shot of gas added The Boss's are starting to show their true potential

Hey guys just to clear things up,i added another 20hp shot picked up 13 rwklw and tune was not touched, all 4 previous runs were done in the right lane and the 1st run this time was in the right lane also with a 11.6 @116mph 1.7 60ft,i then changed to the next lane gave it 200rpm more through each gear dropped it down to a 11.5 @124mph 1.7 60ft then backed up my 11.5@123mph 1.7 60ft in the same left lane,so make of it what you will because im confused, if i would have picked up 8 mph over my 5 previous runs i would have thought it should have dropped atleast 2 tenths maybe more,so i dont know if its a timing error or not as i backed it up but in the same lane
I did have a little bit of wheel spin on the 124mph run but not much either way i need to replace my tyres as they are well past there used by date and i should be able to get a 1.6 60ft and maybe a tenth or two CYA JEFF

In this thread http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/in...dpost&p=458929 you say that the F6 would be making 370 rwkw to run 125 mph. Your mph is down by only 1 mph and your car is heavier, so maybe you are under estimating the real output of your car, maybe it's higher than you think

You of all people know you cannot compare the Power Vs MPH or ET for Boss Vs T-Bara. I ran 115mph for 11.8 and got shot down in flames coz I 'underestimated' my power figures. You CANNOT compare the two cars.. Different weight, transmission, torque, diff ratio- etc etc etc etc, the list goes on. I was told I had to be making more power than 313rwkw, and it was 'impossible' to run what I did.. Tough crowd round here.... . |

Not trying to take anything away from GRUNTA's achievement as it is awsome no matter how he did it.
To turn a 13 second car into a mid 11 car and run 124 mph, with just a 120 dry shot of gas is a remarkable thing to do. It's just that I think his car is making more power than he thinks which he and his tuners should be proud of

The first 9sec XR6T only had 380RWKW (assuming we were told the truth) Setup is just as important as anything else... RWKW, weight and history should give a good indication of a cars potental. I believe 313RWKW is good enough for your 1/4 mile time. Guess it will just take time for other to catch up |

I'm fairly sure Adams car was running ~420rwkw when it ran the 9. It was also fairly 'light weight' too. Still a good enough effort that many have not even come close since then. ( I think due to the fact they retain the 4spd ) |

I thought it had a 9" rear and a C4 auto, but my information is pretty second hand. Was the 420RWKW still with the factory turbo ?
