Hi everyone,
I've bought a secondhand 3 door Zetec and will take delivery next week. I'm keen to replace the CD player with this Alpine unit (http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=278). However, before I do so, I am in need of some help/advice: 1. Is the standard head unit a true 2 DIN size? I have read elsewhere this is not the case and would like to verify. If anyone can point me in the direction of where I can find the OEM unit specs and dimensions, I'd appreciate it. 2. For anyone who has replaced their CD players with an aftermarket unit, can you advise whether the steering column controls have been successfully integrated with the new system? Thanks everyone. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers |

1 - unfortunately not, it is a DIN 1.5. You used to be able to buy an adapter, holds the single DIN with a small cavity below for phone and incidental storage
2 - unfortunately not that I've ever heard or seen anywhere.
