Default Rear Lights don't work

Last night my mate told me that all of my stop lights dont work (EF XR6 with the LED in boot spoiler as well), now what i think might have happened is i put a bendy matress in my boot and i think it may have messed a few wires up or something? as my lights were working perfectly the day before. I also checked the fuse and it was ok, any suggestions on where to check or anythign else that causes this?

Try the brake switch. It sits up the top of your pedal in the footwell.

Yep - sound like brake switch for sure. You can unplug the switch and short out the wires with a bit of metal and see if the brake lights switch on.

if you screwed any wiring you may have blown a fuse; check that first.

Its the brake light swich. 100%.
Its an $8 5 Minute Fix.... Dont worry bout it, just go to repco, get a new switch and change it over. Theres a tech document showing what the fix entails.

Agreed, i had the same problem twice actually. The switch located above the brake pedal is prolly gone. Its a real easy task doesnt take long at all.

BTW FRDXR6 i have seen ur car many times in glen waverly? nice ride u got there! _2:

It's a piece of **** FRDXR6.

I didn't need no tech guide when I did it. Just buy the part, get your head under the dash and you'll see what you need to do just by looking at the new one.
