Howdy peoples, im in the process of buying a TE50 and its a series II. Red with leather, sunroof, 18inch Azurzo (i think thats how its spelt) wheels and other stuff. But apart from the interior options, the car is basically bog stock.
So im wondering if anyone has any ideas of good body kits for the TE50 Series II, and maybe some good options for wheels. Them Azurzo wheels are nice, but i want AWESOME!!!!!!!!. Its prob just best to get a Series III body kit i know, cos they looked fair smart, but if anyone has any pics of thier TE/TS 50 with some aftermarket mods to it and what they are, how much, where from and pics. That would be great. Here are pics of the TE50 im getting (not actual car, but is best pic to represent car).

If you're getting a collector's car like that, leave the body kit as is. Just get some 19s to fill the guards and leave the Azzuros in the garage or under your bed!

True, believe, i wouldnt get rid of the wheels. And i can see that it would pi$$ people off if i did it, but it wouldnt be no home made crap stainless steel wing on the back and cardboard body kit and stuff. I would put the time, money and effort into getting someone to do it proper, believe.
But if you wana compare how good the TE50 Series II looks compared to the Series III Check these out and you can see where im coming from. Compare my top pics to these.

I believe C2R do body kits, also our sit sponsor AWC.
I must admit I prefer the S3 kits

I do prefer the S3 kits too, but if you want to get one then you'd want to do it right on a genuine T-Series, and that's big bucks. Very big bucks.

Going roughly off the AWC website...looks to be around the $2000 mark, but whether thats supplied, painted and fitted is another story.
I have left a msg or them on another thread asking for a price so will post the response they give me when i get him.

I would not touch the car, there a collectors item. Mabe at the very most I would get a T3 kit fitted, but that would be it. There a very smart car as they are..But thats my opinion only..........

I'm all for body kits and bits and pieces. If it was a series 2 XR and you wanted to put the T3 kit on (with the Ts50 front bar and standard lights), that I can understand. Or if it was a Forte V8, no probs. But you are talking about a series 2 TE50. The only thing I would do is to change the rear spoiler to either none, or the T3 wing. The T2s came with the option of the Hawk rear wing, so fitting a T3 one is not so bad - they're almost the same shape. But that's me. You can do whatever you want.
If you do go the T3 front, I'll buy your T2 front off you for $400. Wheels - definitely go a set of 19s, and maybe even lower it 10 or 15 mm. Check out 012s car to see how cool a T1/T2 can look with pretty much only suspension/wheel change. 012s car is one of the best AUs I have ever seen (pictures only, not in the flesh), T3s included. Here's a pic of 012s T1 TS50

I agree with JC and sbutler, dont go messing with what is a VERY collectible vehicle. Of course the end decision remains yours as its your car, but I think you'll find resale value as well as the value of the car to you will drop if you go messing with it.

Dont touch the car... Body kit is sensual as it is.
Fill the guards with something big... Sex on wheels

Second thoughts after looking at the T2 pics, I wouldn't change a thing. Those T2s have huge presence, & there own identity & personalty, the one in the pic is a very smooooth looking car!!!!! :
I know the Azzuros are a pain in the *** to clean, thats why I got rid of mine, but they suit that T2 so well.. :monkes: How that now???

Steve - don't worry about your spelling, at least we can understand your posts. And I agree with the sentiment - T1s T2s and T3s each have their own presence and identity and while the T3 is the most agressive looking, the others have enough to differentiate them from the pack.

Any T-Series is sexy. Leave it as it is. That boy kit is in a class of its own.

Need to put in my 50 cents worth. Leave it stock and just dump it on it's balls like jcxr8 looks a million bucks. Nothing wrong with the t3 kit but I'm not into mongrels, sorry if I offended anyone. The t2 will always live in the t3's shadow and their image shouldn't be tarnished by cheap imitations.
The t2 is more of an everyday proposition while t3 is a club racer or sunday black spur cruiser. |

mate, everyone else has said it so im going to sound like a broken reccord and say it again...... hopefully enough of us can drill it into your head.
don't buy a TE50 and change its kit... thats deserving of a FF lynch-mob attack! i would get a fairmont ghia V8 and mod that with whatever kit and wheels you want..work the engine, and hell you may even come out on top $$ wise over buying the TE |

It looks great the way it is. The most I would do to it cosmeticly is lower it and put on a set of 19" rims.
