I have just purchased a brand new 2014 Focus Trend Auto and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with this model. At the moment i am more than happy with everyting about the car and after having a Focus manual the auto is really good and drives well even though i had second thoughts about getting the auto with the 2 litre motor it has surprised me with torque and performance.

My Mrs has one. No dramas. I believe there was some ECU update from the start of this year to keep it all smooth.

Congrats! I just purchased a 2011 Trend today because my missus has hijacked my Sport and refused to drive the XR6 (traded)
Only problem is that the German Built Focus doesn't have a center armrest!!!! |

Still happily surprised by mine 6 months in. The DSG has some quirks, particularly in stop start traffic & in tight turns but I've found being 'firm' on the accelerator equates to a smoother get away.
