I'm getting some work done to the wife's car..... and am after any one who can help me with feedback on prices that I have been given.
Car is a Lexus GS 300, 2000 model. The parts... Reconditioned power steering pump $700 And what is the cost to [B]overhaul[B] an air conditioning compressor? Any help is appreciated.... |

Not sure about the cost for the air-con gear.. but look at getting the power stearing pump overhauled.. (or do it yourself...)
I overhauled the pump from a lexus LS400 for about $80 in parts (GENUINE!) and about two hours labour.... Not quite the $700 for an overhauled unit... |

AC Compressors are likely a through away item. Why buy a Lexus, and worry about scrimping on repairs. Either you can afford a High Priced Jap Luxobarge, or you can't!
