Default Click under braking

Hi Guys,

Yes i am back with yet another foreign noise with my 2011 Fiesta Zetec.

I recently had my brake fluid changes, and since then i have noticed on the odd occasion a "click" noise when nearly at a full stop, usually upon releasing the pedal slightly. I can feel it through the brake pedal.

Before i go wasting yet more time stuffing around with a useless Ford dealer, do any of you guys have an idea on what it could be. I dont think it would be CV's or Ball Joints etc, im pretty sure its brakes related. Noise is from the front end.

Thankyou!

Is it like this? www.youtube.com/watch?v=2j7q3jR3fXM

Does it happen after reversing and braking? brake pads shifting in calipers?

If you can feel it in your brake pedal, than it might be something with them.
Brake pads/springs last replaced?

Iam not a mechanic or brake specialist but maybe worth them having alook.

Thanks for your reply. Its not that sort of noise in the video. it only clicks once when nearly at a stop. Except for brake fluid, nothing to do with the brakes has been changed (or is due to be).

It does happen while reversing and braking. Im leaning towards brake pads not sitting right in the calliper, after it was serviced ( as im guessing they were pulled apart to check ).

Had ultra tune take a look. Apparently there is movement in the pads because of looseish metal clips. Not a safety isssue, it just makes noise. He could fix it, with a special type of glue and new clips but as there is only 40% left on the pads, he said not to worry about it unless it gets worse. In and out in half an hour. Way better than Ford who constantly want the car for the entire day.

With my overall experience its easier to take it to an independent trusted mechanic to diagnose than take it to Ford for warranty work. Otherwise you spend the whole time going to and from Ford dealers. Ford dealers who seem unable to diagnose issues.
