I have noticed in the warmer weather, that when my car is left in the sun for a couple of hours and I go to start her she sounds a bit rough for about two or three seconds, then goes back to runnin nice and smooth.
It's almost like it takes two or three seconds for the oil to pump round the engine, but in that time she really sounds like a bag of bolts. While that last comment may have sounded really dumb, my car spends most of its life in a garage, when I go to start her after 12 hours of being undercover it's no where near as bad. Any ideas? Or am I just paranoid?

any chance it could be more fuel related?
the heat in the engine bay may be somewhat evaporating the fuel in the rail.
