Default Melbourne hail storm

just had a fairly decent hail storm thomastown /reservoir area, the bigger bits of hail the size of small walnuts, , so if your in other area`s of melbourne that have an under cover option , now might be a good time to take that option, it only lasted about 5 minutes, and i don`t know if they are big enough to damage panel work, it would be pretty close i reckon.

My car has been totally pummelled :(

Keilor East - lets see what the insurance company says!

Doors, bonnet , bootlid and roof copped the brunt of the damage

Glad I paid for undercover parking at Tullamarine, shade cloth should be enough to stop hail stones, right?

Ducked out just as it started and dumped the whole washing line of clothes over the BA. Seemed to have done the trick, but the bonnet copped a few dimples. Good excuse for a Boss bonnet upgrade.. . Caroline Springs, VIC

Old man's '11 corolla didn't come up too good.. bonnet, roof, bootlid covered in dents.

Both my cars made it through okay. Some very interesting moments driving back from the other side of town though!

Three of my cousin's cars are seriously damaged though. They are in Burnside.

Mine has copped it, the roof has taken quite a dinger where it meets the rear windscreen, the bonnet is peppered, as is the boot. No pics, the phone has crapped out and I have no other camera handy.

The car was in Taylors Hill whilst I was in Torquay.

Just returned from Tullamarine airport. The roads are covered in debris. Looks like a huge storm hit the place this afternoon.

If this keeps happening It wont be long before Insurance companies change their policies to not include hail damage or charge a higher premium for cover.

Hail storms in Melbourne seem to happen more frequently and a lot wilder over the past few years.

Some areas have copped it really bad. We didn't get any hail here, however 5 mins down the road in Ferntree Gully they did!

Hopefully insurance will cover the cost of the damage.

^^ Seems Jack and I were thinking the same thing.
