I'm a bit disappointed with the WT Zetec's lack of projector headlights.
Can I easily swap in a WS Zetec's headlamp assembly? Will it phyiscally fit? Will the wiring connect without having to make your own adaptor loom? Will the WS headlamp assembly accommodate fitment of a bi-Xenon setup (where the low beams stay on when the high beams are activated)? |

Hi,
I recently had a conversation with a Ford spare parts guy and he said the WT is a completely different car. Apparently a lot of the tooling to make it has slight differences and a lot of parts don't interchange. His example was when they had to replace a windscreen for a customer and they tried to put a WS into a WT and it just didn't match the bodywork. So, I'd go talk to a 'spare parts guy' (could make a movie with Jim Carey? lol) and that way you may happen to get some info from someone with experience. And, don't the Zetecs come with projector headlights anymore? Have you asked a spare parts guy? cheers |

In the Philippines, Ford offers the european Zetec S grill (WS Zetec grill) as an accessory and it seems to fit in perfectly with the Thailand Fiesta (WT). The owner of this Fiesta replaced his Thai-made Fiesta's grill with the all black euro-style grill. - resized image from Ford Club Philippines So I guess some euro parts fit. WS - German made. WT - Thai made. No doubt there are differences, but one would have thought that would be in quality (soft plastics vs hard for example) not fitment. I'm sure the headlamps would be interchangeable. Though the base headlamps with their black surrounds look far superior to the ricey zetecs. Why not insert HIDs?
