Place to post cool or interesting second-hand cars/trucks that are for sale or auction, of any brand - preferable with more than 150k km or km unknown.
Looks like someone is having a clean out in WA: Get the **** out of Dodge 4x2 truck: https://www.grays.com/lot/0002-90248...e-4x2?spr=true Escort pano to pick up escorts: https://www.grays.com/lot/0005-90248...a-6-6?spr=true * Over 150k km not hard and fast rule, and can post grey imports with any kms because we all expect they have had a hair-cut on the boat Last edited by Mulva; 11-08-2021 at 08:25 AM. |

I'm really starting to lose patience.
This thread is about interesting cars with over 150,000k. If you have nothing relevant to the topic to add, then don't post. Last warning, I have better things to do than to troll (yep, pun intended) posts in the pub. |

I know it was shot but am genuinely surprised that old Dodge truck only went for $1k.
https://www.grays.com/lot/0002-90248...e-4x2?spr=true Maybe wasn't old enough |

I’ve got something similar (a ‘63), and yes a depressing result! Been tossing up whether to bail on it or keep paying storage.

Was it a mid to late 70s d5n 300 or something? If I'm wrong what was it, and what engines do they have? E: from a guess a 245 hemi i6? Winning bidder probably has larger trucks to hual it away and were bidding scrap price, not something they know was restorable or a runner anyway. Would be different if you could list info about your truck to a buyer and if it was a runner they could test drive. Last edited by oldel; 11-08-2021 at 10:41 PM. |

That I can’t answer, a mate knows the series better. The cabs are all interchangeable, and I think the chassis fronts fairly similar if not identical - my SWB seems to have holes that relate to the heavier steering gear. At only a grand you could shorten and de-rate it. Front wheelbase is wider than Effies so the Jag IFS isn’t such an easy choice.

Apparently if you extend the chassis you can pretend you're mike finnegan and they make good ramp trucks that are worth $$$$$

After I finished my apprenticeship I was a bit stir-crazy from working in the same shed for four years, so took a job with a local transport company doing deliveries. The two trucks I mostly drove were both Dodge D5N. The smaller one was probably a 1 or 1.5 tonner and ran a slant 6. The larger one was probably around 4 ton and it ran the 318 Poly engine.

Yeah I have no idea myself. Ended up assuming it was just a ****-take and the guy always wanted a 6.6 litre Trans Am or something, as it looks very similar.
Trying to work out if that roof has had a dodgey lift? Not just talking the different colour and the rust line, but is the height is higher than stock? Some shots looks like it is; others it doesn't |

Mulva, I think it's just an optical illusion caused by the roof racks, exterior sunvisor and the contrasting colour that throws to look of the roof line out.

An FG G6ET pre-production build, would be interesting to know how it escaped the crusher. Looks like it's had a hard life.

There are a few good examples around here, one is an ex paper truck and the other petrol Inter is a water tanker semi based in Shepparton.

If I bought that AU, that hideous bar and spotties would be carefully removed and listed for sale on Gumtree before the engine had even cooled down!
