Hi guys
Been thinking of getting a Mondeo for the last 9 months on a Novated Lease and am finally about to place the vehicle order. I have been given a choice. Delivery in 2 weeks for a 2018.25MY Titanium petrol hatch with a 09/2017 build date or wait 12 weeks for delivery of the same vehicle with a 2018 build date. Is there any advantage of waiting for the later build date? What is the difference between a 2018.25MY and a 2017.5MY titanium? Cheers |

I doubt much difference...
In fact, since launching in 2015 (in Australia anyway) there has been very minimal changes / updates. A few changes spring to mind; Sync 3, revised cluster options (digital speedo big plus), revised wheels MY17.5 onwards (19" wheels), Electric park brake moved to right of console, Parking Sensor and Park Assist switches moved to the left of console and maybe some colour options. Not much else...

You'd want the '17 car at a substantial discount over the '18, else it's worth the wait...if you can believe the 12 weeks story!

New, larger front head restraints from MY17.5 onwards that now only adjust two way (up and down), whereas the previous ones were smaller and had four way adjustment (up, down and tilt).
As far as I can tell, from looking at pictures, the centre console area where the cup holders are is no longer gloss piano black, but a matte black finish - which is better. I find that the gloss piano black attracts dust and is way too easy to scratch.

Thanks for the responses. I’ve ordered the car and looking forward to a MY2018.25 platinum white titanium hatch petrol to be sitting in the driveway in about 10 days.
This is very exciting. |
