Default Recover Your Radio Code !!

Hey guys i recently just got some work done to the car and in that process i had to disconnect the battery...long story short....i lost my radio code

I spent days and days on this forum among other fiesta forums, and still couldn't find a way to get my code back......

So i went down to my local dealer in Parramatta (Thomson Ford) requested to get my radio code back, gave them my rego papers and id and a $35 fee......they gave me a code and told me to go home and enter it after a 20mins....so tried it myself after 20mins....and nothing happened ....so i went back and i got them do it.... and still no success << X2, lol

So they booked me in for an appointment for Monday to get my radio pulled out....

Tonight after joining UK Fiesta Network and going through there Electrical forum found this thread :
Radio Code Requests

To get your serial number codes, just hold down the 2+6 button on the stereo, post them on that thread and in hours you've got your Radio Code

This also needs to made a Sticky cause it really is a major issue and could save people alot of money, time, etc

Hope this helps everybody and saves you having to waste your time going to Ford and wasting your $$,

Good Luck,
Pete

WTF????? they actually charged you for the codes???? i get like a dozen customers asking for codes a week. if it's a car we sold, we keep them on our computer network, takes like 2 seconds to retreive....if it's not one of ours we can usually use the vin to pull the code from the national database.

for $35 they couldv've pulled the unit and got the codes off of it that way.

I have heard of that, from memory I was going to get charged for a code for my old XR8 but argued the costs as ludicurous..... (They change the radio as a warranty claim 1 year before)

Cheers
