Default Nitto NT05R

Hey Guys,

Is anyone running with Nitto NT05R's for their strip tyres? Was going to get a set of MT's however I can get the Nitto's a lot cheaper.. I have been running the NT05 street tyres for street duties and have been extremely happy with them, so I thought the NT05R's might be worth a go?

Cheers

Ben

Ive had some mounted up for a year or so but never run them.... they rub on the guards at 345/30/19... I can only get away with a 315 at most so once I massage the guards all round and get the car resprayed ill be keen to run 'em.

what times are you looking to run?

i know a few guys in the US with faster Mustangs, mid 10's or quicker preferred using the MT's. any slower than that the Nitto's hook pretty good. both last roughly the same.

Cheers mate,

Been reading a few mixed reviews from the US about the comparisons between the Nitto and MT's... Just was interested to see if anyone was running them over here.

Still running the ZF in my car, so just hoping to get it into the mid 10's.

if you are going to be going to the track quite a bit, it's hard to go past the tried and proven M/T's. they may be a little dearer, but, they have proven you can run super fast on them. then again you hear good things about the NT05R's you can always give the Nitto's a go then try M/T's. what are the Nitto's worth?
