Default Skid pan day - Saturday July 18

This event was hugely popular last year and there are a lot of people keen to do it again in 2009!

A skid pan day has been organised for Saturday July 18. The course is run by rally and race legend Rick Bates, and its held at the Sutton Driver Training Complex.

The day will include:

- Theory on car control - the how's and why's;
- Causes of skidding and why it happens;
- How to get out of a situation; and
- Have some fun using throttle control to control skids (not do doughnuts).

An overview of the course can be found at http://www.batesadvanceddriving.com...carcontrol.html

Cost is approximately $135.00 per person inc GST (exact amount will be known once we work out exact numbers).
Please put your name on the list ASAP so we can let Rick know how many attendees to cater for:

ATTENDING
1) Richard & Nicole (both driving)

Yes, there are 16 spots available on the day and preference will be given to club members. However, should any spots be available when we get closer to the event, non-members will be welcome to join us.

Those people who have their name down to attend this event - it would be great if you could bring a deposit along to the club meeting on Thursday night to secure your place. $50 per person would be great.

We have made a commitment to Rick Bates that we will fill all spots and we would like to avoid last-minute drop-outs if possible.
