This happens every damn semester... :
I know what I have to do, but getting my butt into gear is another thing. Today I have done jack other than pay a few bills, do some grocery shopping and be on FFA ALL DAY. Does anyone else suffer from being stuck on this incredibley addictive site? But tomorrows the day, I brought some coffee, sour worms (for a quick sugar rush) and some other assorted snacks; so I am pumped for some revision....yeah for me! : Ive got an Engineering Maths exam wednesday, so its now or never becuase maths is one thing I have to apply myself with.: Who else has this potentially life altering issue? So heres to FFA, and heres to getting some study done tomorrow! : :sm_headba :baby bott Although I will come on for 10 minutes atleast to chcek my PM;s....lol :Reverend:

And to make matters worse I had to pull out of a subject, and did it too late, $550 odd down the drain. Im so skipping the county once I finish, I haven't dared to look at my HECS bill yet. :

Shut up guys, trying to study. haha..
yeah, well i'm in the same boat. it's darn difficult to stay focussed. The best place to study is the library. At home the computer is always to close by, and fordforums gets a visit way too often. I am studying for two exams i have on tuesday. At the moment i'm studying "linear electromagnetics". It's a bit dry to say the least. vrrooooooom |

Yeeep another one here....
Honestly, the only way I can study is to either; a) study at someone else's house or b) turn off the computer and sit in a different room.

FFA is good stress relief and diversion therapy. Ideal for occasional switch-offs, to help re-focus on the main game.

Seems like there are a few law students on here???
Im glad I did the bulk of my degrees before the distraction of the Internet was around. But there is always a distraction. Sometimes it is just plain hard to concentrate. With my last degree (law, full time), I was a single Mum with an 8 month old, a 4 year old and a full time job. SLEEPING was a distraction... haha. Good luck with all of your studies and exams guys!!! It will be over soon! Jac

Polyal,
Think of it as training for your Engineering life where your expected to work to incredibly tight deadlines all the time. Nothing like leaving it all to the last minute to focus your attention. Besides, anything more than a basic pass mark means you have overestimated how much effort you had to put in. BTW it doesn't get any better. I got my Engineering exams out of the way back in the 80's but I still spend too much of my time on AFF (yes I'm at work now ) and otherwise procrastinating. |

I can handle working (real work). I had last year off and worked full time in engineering (alot of management though) and loved it. Now finding it hard to study because it seems the majority of stuff I am doing I will perhaps never use. I know its probably more about learning to think a certain way, but what I would give to pay off uni for a P and get on with it!

I'm halfway through my exams and still keep finding my way back onto this site. Even still, my first exam went well. As for the second exam, I'm not looking forward to repeating that subject next year. My last 2 exams are Monday and Tuesday so I'm not going to have much of a weekend. (Hope everyone enjoy the long weekend while I'm stuck in an exam :( )

phew, I'm glad it's not just me. My studying is going abysmally, but on the upside I've spent so much time on here and ebay that I've scored heaps of awesome stuff for my car. Spoiler, momo wheel, leather shifter, should keep me busy in the holidays, haha. You'd think being in my sixth year of uni I'd have learnt how not to be distracted by now! Oh well, only 2 more years after this one...

you must be a veteran by now, lots of exam notches under your belt hey? LOL i'm in my fifth year, and let me assure you that you're not the only one getting distracted. Let me go as far as to say that we get even more distracted. Heh! Anyway, good luck with study, remember that you've survived five years before this... I do anyway!
