Clarification of prospectus

Just reading a prospectus to maybe buy some further shares in a company called autodom that supplies to the local car industry. On page 24 of the prospectus, they list the prodcution expectations for the 3 local manufacturers.

Holden 2010 = 70599 2011 = 71000
Ford 2010 = 63000 2011 = 60000
Toyota 2010 = 109000 2011 = 113000

From what i know, they get most of their money from Holden, then Ford, then a bit from Toyota. Has the company skewed the figures to mislead, shareholders? From what I hear, Holden wont be sending out 70599 cars out of elizabeth this year and Ford australia is barely going to reach 50,000 (30000 falcon, 10000 Ute, 10000 territory), this year are they?

i don't know, but road registrations in australia is not the same as amount of cars produced.

Probably includes spare parts stock etc too.

Was it Holden that said they had 20 new models in the pipeline?

If you are outlaying any decent coin, please take that PDS to an independent accountant to see what they have been doing / will be doing with the money in terms of payments to 3rd parties, contracts, outstanding loans etc etc etc.

Also, do a ton of research on the net as well as the plethora of governing bodies that monitor and police this sort of thing.

Its just a stock on the side, that you put some money in, hoping a little bit of good info, may send the stock going up. The shares cant go much lower (apart from bankruptcy), so thought it might be a 50/50 chance. I know they havent got any work from the small amount of cruze that is being made locally, but was just very curious about their production figures for ford and holden.

Just cant see how they could put a 63000 production figure for Ford for 2010, in a prospectus that was made just in the last few weeks, when all the information (and we are 10 months into 2010) that i have seen, shows ford (and holden) wont be making that many.

What exactly are they manufacturing? If its steering wheels than its one per car + spares but if its wheel nuts then its 20 per car + spares. It makes a big difference to the numbers.

That particular part of the prospectus dealt with the production expectation of the 3 car companies, as beleived by the Directors. Spares, etc were dealt with in another section. They were simply saying how many cars each manufacturer were going to make in australia, this year and next year.

They make certain metal products, not exactly too sure, as the products have changed over time.
