Default Removing factory head unit from 1996 LXI Laser

Hi

Grateful for any tips on getting the factory head unit out of a 1996 LXI Laser. I've poked around a bit and can't see an obvious 'simple' way to do it. Pics attached. Also if anyone has done this recently and has knowledge of best way to wire (available harnesses?) that would be great also.

MD

Hi. Each side of the face of the head unit are a small cover strip, these flick off to reveal round holes into witch you insert a u shaped removal tool. Aerpro list a harness as "ford/mazda/sanyo" to iso and then you use an iso to your "insert brand here" head unit. Cheers MD
