Nice! Havent seen a cruiser with a mtb drivetrain before but it sounds like a winning combination.
Go the Giants! (i have an 08 Alias hardtail, no pic's handy at the mo..) Edit: There's always that one pic hiding in the bowls of the pc hard drive.. No im not a bogan (or whatever one may call it), the southern cross was for multicultural day at school...stuck ever since Shimano brakes, Sram x7 gearset, rock shox dart 2, tough alu...been nailed by an AU forte (had to pull it out from under it) and still soldiers on. Also got a fixed gear bike, awesome thing it is...full chro-moly..mmm

That looks cool in a cruiser kinda way, last bike I owned was a craftworks with custom shock and linkages and over 9" rear travel on a bike that came out when 5" travel was huge.... Nedless to say it rode pretty bad, but it was cushy..
Man I have had so many bikes it's not funny... But when you worked pt time in a bike shop when you were bike mad, that happens.. |

Yeah.....the new Giant is super comfy. It's certainly a cruiser style bike,
with a bit of added versatility by way of the gear-set. Here is the specs page from the Giant website: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-AU/...de/7519/44420/ Here is my old bike, which I'll still hang onto as an 'old favourite'... This bike was given to me by a good mate about 10 years ago. https://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/data/2937/DSC00292.jpg[/IMG] 1975 Europa 10 speed.... 36 years old and still crankin!!
