Thumbs up GRNKPR on CH 7 on hoon laws

i did an interview with a ch 7 reporter today from a car club perspective on the new hooning laws and how they would affect us . But the interview was cut and made it look like all i want to do at the end of the week is drop skids all over the place :Up_to_som :Up_to_som :Up_to_som

my answer was i like getting out at te end of the week and give the car a work out on the track

If you haven't learnt you have to tell the media what they wanna hear. Or they'll make you look like a hoon.
You should have said "We agree with these laws as it tarnishes the reputation of car clubs"

They're not gonna let you say what you want, that would make the commercial media channels unbiased.

should had it in writing that they wouldnt chop or edit the interview in any shape or form
best bet is to write to them and ask for a public apology*coughs and laughs as that'd only happen if you took em to court* or went and redid the interview again, this time unedited.

Or he could write into Media Watch on the ABC, I remeber when they exposed Today Tonight for making a bunch of Muslem youths sound like they were a bunch of terrorists that wouldn't follow Australian law.

i was aproched by ch7 at western sydney international dragway to do an interview about how great venues like that are to keep hoon behaviour off the streets.
then the next week the story comes out and its a huge beat up about how inexperienced p plate drivers are allowed to drive at high speeds on the track etc
my interview didnt make the cut mainly because i saw them coming and didnt fall into their trap.
but there was a clip of my honda city turbo launching off the line

cmon Phil
Media watch will actually show we can do something constructive with public awareness as to mainstream channels conning the public.
anything to stand up for the average car enthusiasts.

thats not good, I know Today Tonight and ACA do whatever they can to make a story but surely its only fair to hear both sides of an arguement.

Just proof that TV networks are playing pocket snooker with the Govt.

Nope.
The big picture is:
Media fooling the general public.

So newspapers will not print it.
And car mags are not read by the gen pub.
