Is there a way to impliment a spell check program that can convert text talk into english when posting ?
It is quite annoying and seems to be spreading, i see the cause being part lazyness and part unedification.....  : |

OR!!! maybe a nice Avatar (the worlds problems could be solved with humiliating Avatars IMO) to remind them that not everyone appreciates spending 20 minutes trying to work out what someone has said.

A much better idea would be when txt spk is detected, a complimentary 3 day holiday, courtesy of AFF, is given to the poster.

Maybe the common offending words can just be added to the rude word list and they will just be blanked out. So instead of:

set all the common SMS style abbreviations to be unsearchable, then when people can no longer search for posts because of their own laziness maybe they will learn

I type everything out on Microsoft Word and then copy and paste it to the thread reply. It’s easy, there have been many times I’ve missed typos and Word has picked it up for me. Just be aware that US English is a little different to ours.
