hi all
we have the WS Fiesta and since we upgraded our iPhones to iOS 5 there are issues with bluetooth. What happens is after a phone call, the radio is frozen. You can do anything and the only way to fix it is turn off the ignition and wait 30 seconds or so which is not practical in traffic. Anyone else experiencing this ? Is there a software update maybe for the car stereo? ta |

Can you try to push the volume button down to turn off the head unit, then press it again to turn it back on?

Same problem. Only I've had that since iOS 4.3. Have tried numerous phones however, and they all seem to do the same thing. My problem is a little worse, as I have to disconnect the battery for the stereo to finally turn off. Ignition off, locking, pushing the on/off button on the stereo, nothing works.
Ford Dealer said 'You'll just have to live with it.' So I have been haha. If you find a fix, please let me know. Ford Dealer said they don't do stereo updates, which I know is utter crap.

Yes. I did.
I ended up decoupling the iphone using the Ford menu. I then resynced it and it's sweet. *edit* oops different issue. My phone wasn't being discovered when I turned bluetooth on.

Needs a firmware update which is available to fix it. If you have a USB port then you can do it yourself, otherwise I think it has to be done at the service.
http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity....wnloadsUpdates Pretty sure only the Zetec's had USB as my LX doesn't.

Does it display the reception level all the time or only while in a call? Mine does when it's in a call but that's all.

When all else fails, try re-booting the iphone.
First take it out its case if you are using one (static electricity can build up). Second, hold down at the same time the button at the bottom and the switch at the top, until the iPhone restarts. This can take quite a few more than a few seconds. Ignore the switch off message if it appears on the screen. Rebooting is often a good idea before updating the iPhone's operating system. |
