Tradie pulled over with ice and viagra says he’s worth $12bn Carpenter and bricklayer Phillip Harrison says he’s worth $12 billion. A TRADIE pulled over by police in a luxury sports car has more than $590 million in the bank but is not “at liberty” to say how he got it, a Brisbane court has heard. Phillip Johnathan Harrison was today granted bail in the Brisbane Magistrates Court, a day after police pulled him over in an Audi sports car and found ice, viagra and ecstasy. The bricklayer and carpenter told officers he was worth $12 billion and later explained to his lawyer he had been given the car by the government, the court was told. The duty lawyer Nick Hanly said he had asked the 29-year-old the origin of his great wealth, which he had apparently only come into in the past 12 months. “He said he wasn’t at liberty to say,” Hanly told the court. “At this point, I was considering getting mental health to come in.” He was found with ice, ecstasy and viagra in his Audi. Harrison says he has $596 million in the bank. The 29-year-old says the government gave him the sports car. But Hanly said Harrison then urged him to log on to his online banking account, which showed a cash balance of $596m and a property portfolio of $1.56bn. Such a net worth would make the labourer wealthier than the likes of the Harvey Norman co-founder Gerry Harvey, the mining magnate Andrew Forrest and property king Lang Walker. “I would not have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes,” Hanly said of his client’s bank balance. The court heard Harrison was an ice user. Police prosecutor Sergeant Sean Francis suggested Harrison’s passport be surrendered as a condition of bail, given his means could make him an increased flight risk. Magistrate Anthony Gett agreed and also granted bail on the condition Harrison reside at a Tewantin address. The matter will return to court on April 18. Such wealth would make Harrison richer than Harvey Norman co-founder Gerry Harvey and mining magnate Andrew Forrest. |

as outlandish as it sounds - a friend who was a sparky on the west coast sold his business when he was 29 for 128mil - he serviced the mining industry - it was all just a matter of right place right time right set of circumstances - Under the right set of circumstances it could be believable

I heard a weird story about six months ago about a guy here in Australia finding some damning evidence against govco doing something properly nefarious. Whatever it was that he found, it was that massive, he could name his price in terms of blackmail. And he did.
Could this be the guy? |

Sounds dodgy as hell. If it's proceeds from a business sale it'll be easy enough to prove.
Hmmmmm........ ice, ecstasy and viagra in a car he was driving, of questionable origin???? And he has more money than you can poke a stick at???? Nah, sounds perfectly legit..........................not!!

Melbourne Gangland War for example, if you were $600M worth of coin involved we would have all known about an operation that massive for sure, it would be impossible to hide. That sort of coin and being invisible up until getting caught, something is up for sure. The banks log any transaction more than $10,000 in that AUSTRAC system don't they? Surely it would be a case of asking the bank, where did this money come from? Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 26-03-2016 at 08:36 PM. |

He'd have been pulled up on some form of money laundering charge within a dozen such transactions. Last edited by Trump; 26-03-2016 at 09:08 PM. |

If enough money changes hands, anything is possible.

Has his apparent ballance been verified? Could he have logged in to a dogy site much the same as in the email scams and is having a lend of everyone?
It wouldn't be all that hard to emulate your own NetBank site.

Play the casino to break even or win with the illegitimate money. Get a cheque from the casino with said winnings. ATO defines winnings as not taxable. Who needs tax returns anyway.

The part I find most intriguing is the Police wanted him submitted for a psych analysis, on what basis? He didn't run, hide or evade them and appears to be co-operating with Police.
Now, why is his bank balance of so much importance, he wasn't pulled over for it and why should Police try to force him to disclose where he got his money from, isn't that the role of the ATO and Federal Police? If you're hell bent on complaining about him potentially not paying taxes, go put some effort into Google, Apple and the rest who pay zilch to the Australian Government. I'm keen to see how this one ends.
