on Thursday night i went for a ride in an Evo VIII lancer omfg it was unreal i luved it wat a real weapon they are road handling abilities and off road (dirt) included is amazing also the accelration when it comes onto boost (about 1500 rpm and its an amazing sound) once it gets to about 5000 rpm it really hooks in and u notice the power pushes u back in ur seat a hell of alot. The ride is abit rought but after all u dont buy 1 for comfort (also a mitsubishi oz test car) and the seatsare awesome they hug your back and hips interior is abit low rent but other then that it is an awesome car ill post some pics up this afternoon

Yeah EVOs are fun to drive ... have driven an EVO 8 around Mt Panorama (was on a Lancer/Mirage cruise ages ago) ... they move ... and corner so damn hard.
The guy that let me drive it only ust bought it ... and could drive manual that well ... so he wanted to see how well it went ... when driven properly.

Evo IX is only $56,000 now too!
It would be very hard to go past if your in the market for a performance car, unless you want the space or the sound of a v8 I guess. |

EVO's have always been my pick over a WRX STi. They just build monster torque by comparison and its so flat, unlike the STI. I'd love to have a fang in one

For me, one in black sans spoiler will do nicely, and will certainly surprise the 99.995% of the population who mistake it for "just another Lancer", at the Traffic Light GP. :dr_Evil: : :hihi:

My mate has a Tommi Makinnen edition Evo 6. Been as a passenger in it on a track day at Wakefield Park. Very nice machine, but alas it is a car built by Japs for Japs. A 202cm chap like me could never drive it. :(
