On the XF there was no bolt right? Just an interference fit. Might have to use a puller kit. On my XE the damn thing had chewed the keyway out to twice it's original size so getting it off was not a problem :hihi:

Tried to do that recently to get the cam out. Ruined a harmonic balancer puller but the pulley stayed on- so i got the angle grinder out and cut the timing cover.
Good luck with it though |

The bastards can be really tight, not just on Falcons. I don't recommend buying expensive pullers because you often end up ruining even the highest quality pullers.

Mate ive done it long ago.You need the 3 prong puller. The centre of the puller needs a point to insert exactly in the middle.Slowly turn it to remove. If it doesnt come off .Get a new one and oxy that sucker!!

use a good puller and keep the docket so when u chew it out you can take it back
i found that torque wrenches come in very handy when it comes to pullers. little tip dont touch the high tensile center bolt after you gave it a good work out, last time i burnt myself. amazing how much energy you produce from simple tension
