Yes, like pretty much every business, the current [HARD] labour gov.co are making it more and more difficult to go into business and have a go.
Business after business is laying off works, shutting and/or going bust Worlds best country ruined in a few year by a pack of monkeys, <500 days to go before we can stop the rot. "IT" needs to shove the carbon tax up its clacker |

I wouldnt blame 1,000 % solely on the government tho
Rents for some places are outta this world, yes i know people have mortgages on them, but isnt a rent reduction better than no rent ??? Then theres the ecstatic wages people are commanding, which many think they deserve ??? People are alot smarter with the minimal expendable income they have and are shoppin around alot more ,now so than ever The days of goin from 1 yard to another shoppin for the best deal are nearly,if not already a thing of the past I can compare with many dealers without even leaving the computer room and sometimes all dealings are done via email A drive in the local surrounding towns reveals nearly every 2nd shop is closed or closing down...... |

You'd prefer it the other way? Everybody employed but still poor? You can't have both it's one or the other

It's all part of the big picture
Big business struggles as the result of global economic downturn and poor government policy & sends production / support or whatever off shore, those people that did those jobs are looking for new work but are also cutting back on spending while they get back on their feet so the places they purchased their cars washing machines etc form arnt doing so well so their laying people off or going out of business and so on The downturn cycle will continue until people realise that all the labour lies and BS isnt the end of the world and the sky isnt falling, they'll buy their new car & washer those businesses will pick up and employ more people and so on I personally don't see market confidence improving until a chagnge of government business confidence won't improve until they know where the posts are in regards to business taxes etc

We'll turn from a country of manufacturers and service providers like it was in the 50's, to a country of importers, where the only source of employment is in areas that actually do nothing for anybody, such as insurance, the finance sector, and banks. Trouble is, when all the common wealth has gone from the majority and shifted to the minority, these sectors will go down too. By then Beijing will be the Australian capital.

Not a lot of confidence in the market at the moment, this certainly won`t be helping any business selling the more expensive services/items, especially cars.
