Did anyone here go to this ?
I reckon it was damn good. 10 Years and Disturbed didn't do much for me but Hatebreed and Korn freakin rocked. :sm_headba There was a pretty good mix of songs played in the Korn set. I hear the event sold out too.

I would have gone, interstate trip & all, just to see DISTURBED but as they weren't headlining the tour (shorter set) I chose not to. The whole tour should have included more than just the eastern states.

When I found out Korn were touring here, I was going to go, but the more I listen to their new stuff, the less I like it.
Saw them at BDO '99.

Yeah the new album isn't fantastic but the show more than made up for it when they played the early stuff.

Very good.
They're not too chatty on stage with the crowd but they sure can play through their songs without too much of a break. Their older stuff got everyone pumped up. At one stage the security had to break up the huge circle with all the slam dancers.

If I was in a position to see any great band live I would never pass at the opportunity - where I am I dont get the chance would love to see korn live - did they play many of their classics?? |

I saw them all at Brisbane this last monday....
Not knowing anything about them, I was fairly impressed with 10 years... Hatebreed did a very good show, was quite impressed with them. Disturbed, well, I dont mind some of their songs, but i'll tell you what.... Their show was nothing to write home about. Instrumental was fair but vocals were... um, rather dissapointing??? Definatly not impressed, got quite bored during their set actually. KoRn.... BLOODY AWSOME... Yes, they have had more experience than the other bands, and their budget for the shows is probabarly 10x more than the other bands.... But bloody hell were they 1,000% better than the others. I'm not a big fan of their newer stuff (tho I dont mind a few of their songs from the latest album), they excelled in every way. As somebody else said..... they dont talk to the audience much, but they have absolutly no problem in winding the crowd up to breaking point. Great mix of old and new songs. Some absolutly KILLER medlys of older tracks, yet there were still full versions of the big favourites (Its on, Clown, Shoots and ladders, Blind, Twist!!!! etc...). They finished their 1hr 20min show up with Blind.... It went nuts. Well worth it. Crowd favourites were.... Its on (opener), clown, Somebody someone, Freak on a leash, Twist!!!, ALL the medlys, shoots and ladders (especially when he pulled out the bagpipes!!!!) and the closing song, Blind. Sid from slipknot was doing effects/added vocals and other electronic things. I was also VERY impressed with Rob Patterson, the new guitarist.... I mean, you cant replace Head, but this fella went pretty well. My only complaint was that they did not play 'Kill You'... I saw them perform this at the Brisbane entertainment centre back a shade more than 2 years ago... Jon was taken off stage by his minders because he got into an emotional state, sent chills down your spine. But yeah, F___ing great show!!!!! Mike
