So i was wondering how many people out there have had to, or just wanted to Rebuild the Engine?
Does anybody have any words of advice or ideas on extra things to do with it whilst it is out and apart? |

Are you rebuilding for more power? Most would buy a low km second hand engine as they're so cheap from wreckers.

yeah i have picked up a second hand engine but i decided to pull it apart and rebuild it before sticking it in. Still rebuilding for a daily, so not stupid amount of power but mainly curious to know if there is anything to watch out for when putting it all back together. or any recommended new parts ect

I have done a few engine rebuilds and made a few mistakes along the way, take your time, do it once do it right, if in doubt consult the manual, enjoy the satisfaction at the end of a job well done.
good luck. |

Make sure everything is super clean, don't cut corners and doing it yourself frees up cash to spend on better parts like gaskets, bolts and rings. And to do things like welch plugs, seals etc.
While its out clean it all up paint it up necessary/possible and even polish parts, spare time is free and as your there do it better. Worth it in the end JP |
