Default Cruise Control not working Ford Futura AUII

I have a 2001 Ford Futura AUII - Recently I had to re-wire a trailer and accidently crossed some wires - which lead to a fuse blowing out the tail lights. I replaced this and all was fine ( so I thought!)

I am now unable to turn on the cruise control - it does not work at all.I have checked all the fuses (however there does not appear to be a fuse specifically for the cruise control?).

Does anyone have any suggestions as what the problem is and how to fix it! HELP!

Seeing that the tail lights fuse was blown, it is likely that the brake lights may not be working as well. Cruise control and the brake lights are together on the one fuse. Check to see if both of your brake lights are working, if they're not, there is your problem.

Even if the fuse is intact, check to see if maybe one brake light is not working, change it and check your cruise control again.

Thanks Chippitydip. This solved my problem too. Twice I've lost cruise control. First time dealer fixed it under warranty but I didn't think to ask what the problem was. Then yesterday I lost cruise control again. No I know the problem is faulty wiring on a glider trailer that is only used used rarely to retrieve a glider when it has landed in some farmer's paddock.

Thanks again. I now have cruise control (and brake lights!) and I will fix that bloody trailer.
