Default Factory EF/EL fuel pressure reg.

Hey guys,

I've finally got my car running to a good standard on and off boost, and now I'm having problems with the factory fuel pressure regulator.

Ever since the aftermarket Malpassi reg. was installed, the factory regulator has been leaking petrol everywhere. Yesterday when I was mucking around, I put the aftermarket reg. on 20PSI and the car ran great guns, but today when I started it up there was shit leaking everywhere on the inlet side of the motor. I thought shit a water leak, but then touched and smelt it and it was petrol. Leaking everywhere.

I had a look around it was coming from the regulator area, I didn't the the actual regulator could leak this much so I started looking around at the piping. All good, so then I look at the flange where the reg. connects and it was coming mostly from there and around the reg. I go to tighten it up and it's loose as!!!! So I tighten it up and it still leaks from the reg!

I can't win! But now I took out the aftermarket reg and have been "trying" to not boost it while driving...but it's hard : Anyways, so I pull over and check if it's still leaking without the aftermarket reg and waddayano it is!!!

What can I do about this stupid thing? I'm not planning on keeping the BBM long so I don't want to alter the fuel rail or anything. Should I just pull it out and silastic the ****ers out of it?

If I was going to keep the manifold I'd rip the reg off, and weld a normal pipe on to the flange, but that idea's in the too hard basket for now.

i doubt silastic will do the job, i dont think its rated to be exposed to petrol. i could be wrong though. unplug the vaccuum hose and see if theres petrol in there, the diapraghm might be shot.
