So I am going to pull the dash out of my car on the weekend to clean out the evaporator.
Is there a tute someone has done at all?

What makes you think the evaporator needs cleaning? I wouldn't be pulling the dash unless the whole heater box needed replacing for a leak or such. It can be flushed while in the vehicle and I don't see how taking it out will make it any easier really.
Anyhow, is it high or low series dash? |

Can I clean it without removing the dash?
The air flow is restricted because of dust or whatever? It is an AU XR6 SERIII.

I guess it's possible to be blocked by leaves at the intake/plemun - unlikely to be an internal problem with the heater box or evaporotor.
If it's a blockage by leaves externally I'm not sure the best way to clear it. If you end up having to remove the dash to get at the heater box you can PM me and I'll send you some detailed instructions. Before you even start though you need a stereo removal tool so let me know that you have that first. |

I have checked the intake is clear. Years ago I used to clean out a cabs evap on an el falcon, which was easy.
I believe the issue is just a build up of dust on the fins building up since new. I have the radio pins. If you want to email me I will send an address. Thanks.
